Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during procedures, from braces adjustments to retainers
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain a safe environment
• Take and process dental X-rays, impressions, and photographs
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and care for orthodontic appliances
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Ensure a comfortable, welcoming experience for every patient

Qualifications

• Must be orthodontic certified
• Prior experience as a dental assistant, ideally in orthodontics
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced office
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills
• Knowledge of dental terminology and infection control practices

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of orthodontic procedures and instruments
• Proficiency in taking dental impressions and X-rays
• Familiarity with dental practice management software, such as Denticon
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• A caring, patient-first approach to chairside assistance
