Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to develop individualized treatment plans
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve daily living skills and functional independence
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Document patient progress and modify treatment goals to ensure optimal outcomes
• Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques and home exercise programs
• Maintain a safe, supportive environment that promotes patient dignity and motivation

Qualifications

• Current California Occupational Therapist license (or ability to obtain before start)
• NBCOT certification (or eligible)
• Experience in acute care, outpatient, or skilled nursing settings is preferred
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Strong clinical reasoning and documentation skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of evidence-based occupational therapy practices
• Skill in developing and adapting treatment plans for diverse patient populations
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for patient and team collaboration
• Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation
• Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and adjust to changing patient needs
