Shift Type: Monday-Thursday, 11:30 AM - 10:00 PM, evening shift with call; weekends and holidays required

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality general X-ray and fluoroscopy exams in the emergency department, inpatient units, and operating room.
  • Assist with orthopedic and spine surgeries using C-arm imaging to provide surgeons with real-time visuals.
  • Cover Level 1 Trauma imaging needs, staying calm and efficient during high-pressure situations.
  • Handle portable X-ray studies at the bedside, ensuring safe positioning and minimal patient discomfort.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, PAs, and nursing staff to ensure accurate imaging and timely results.
  • Maintain imaging equipment and uphold strict radiation safety and infection prevention standards.

Qualifications

  • Two or more years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, ideally in a Level 1 Trauma or acute care setting.
  • Active ARRT certification (R) and current BLS certification from AHA.
  • Proven ability to cover OR procedures with C-arms and perform portable radiography.
  • Comfortable with 10-hour evening shifts, on-call duties, weekends, and holidays.
  • Eagerness to work in a fast-paced environment with a high-volume caseload and diverse imaging studies.
  • Experience with Epic EMR and Fuji PACS is a plus.

Knowledge & Skills

  • General X-ray, fluoroscopy, and portable radiography
  • OR imaging with C-arms and trauma imaging
  • Expertise in patient positioning and anatomy identification
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR and Fuji PACS
  • Working knowledge of GE, Carestream, and Shimadzu equipment
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety and infection control
