Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate daily care to residents including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
  • Monitor and document vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
  • Support residents during meals and ensure proper hydration and nutrition
  • Engage residents in meaningful activities and provide emotional support
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment

Qualifications

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Maine
  • A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to resident care
  • Ability to pass background checks and meet facility compliance requirements
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents safely
  • COVID-19 vaccination or documented exemption per facility policy

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of basic nursing assistant principles and ADL support
  • Vital sign monitoring and accurate documentation
  • Infection control and safety best practices
  • Interpersonal skills to build trust with residents and families
  • Time management and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare setting
  • Understanding of resident rights and HIPAA confidentiality
