Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for orthodontic procedures, ensuring comfort and clear communication
• Assist the orthodontist with braces, retainers, and other orthodontic appliances
• Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments, following strict infection control protocols
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care for optimal results
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or state-specific dental assistant certification
• Radiography certification and experience taking dental X-rays
• Prior experience in orthodontic assisting is a plus
• Current CPR certification
• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of dental terminology and orthodontic procedures
• Proficient in dental software and record keeping
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with a focus on patient safety and comfort
