Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during procedures, including preparing patients and passing instruments
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed
• Prepare and sterilize orthodontic instruments and equipment
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
• Ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment for patients of all ages

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
• Current CPR certification
• Experience in orthodontic assisting is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
• Familiarity with orthodontic procedures and tools
• Skill in patient interaction and chair-side assistance
• Basic computer proficiency for patient records
