Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during procedures, including preparing patients and passing instruments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed
- Prepare and sterilize orthodontic instruments and equipment
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
- Ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment for patients of all ages
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
- Current CPR certification
- Experience in orthodontic assisting is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
- Familiarity with orthodontic procedures and tools
- Skill in patient interaction and chair-side assistance
- Basic computer proficiency for patient records
