Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient flow
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, keeping the treatment area ready for every patient
• Take and process dental X-rays and digital scans with precision
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records, including Denticon charting and treatment notes
• Provide a warm, welcoming experience for every patient from check-in to check-out

Qualifications

• State dental assistant certification or licensure as required in Maryland
• Experience in orthodontics or a strong desire to specialize
• Familiarity with Denticon or the ability to learn quickly
• A genuine passion for patient care and teamwork
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and sterilization protocols
• Proficiency in dental software, especially Denticon
• Strong interpersonal skills to connect with patients of all ages
• Excellent organization and time management abilities
• Attention to detail with patient records and compliance
