Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment for each treatment
- Take and develop dental X-rays as directed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Manage supply inventory and ensure a clean, organized clinical environment
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid orthodontic certification
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Prior experience as a dental assistant in an orthodontic setting is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach
Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of orthodontic procedures and instruments
- Proficient in dental radiography and safety protocols
- Knowledge of infection control and sterilization standards
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
