Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' vital signs before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Assist with nitrous oxide and IV sedation, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Take and process panoramic X-rays for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
• Support the surgeon during wisdom tooth extractions and other oral surgeries
• Provide clear, compassionate post-operative instructions to patients and their families
• Prepare and maintain the treatment room, instruments, and supplies for each case
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a dental assistant, ideally in oral surgery or a surgical specialty
• Proficiency in monitoring vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse oximetry
• Experience with nitrous oxide and IV sedation
• Ability to take panoramic X-rays
• Knowledge of wisdom tooth surgery procedures and post-operative care
• Strong communication skills to educate patients and collaborate with the team
• Certification in dental assisting or radiology is a plus
