Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Flexible 40-hour week, typically Monday-Friday, with shift options: 2 eights (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM) + 2 twelves (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM), or 4 tens (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM). Spine call: one weekday per week (5:00 PM - 7:00 AM) and one weekend per month (Friday-Sunday).

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Circulate and/or scrub for total joint and spine surgical procedures
• Ensure the OR is prepared with proper equipment, supplies, and sterile fields
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to deliver excellent patient care
• Monitor patient status during surgery and respond to any changes
• Provide on-call coverage for spine procedures including evenings and weekends
• Document intraoperative care accurately and thoroughly

Qualifications

• Current RN license (CT or compact state) - license verification required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Experience circulating and/or scrubbing in total joints and spine cases
• Ability to work flexible schedules and participate in on-call rotations
• Completion of required health screenings and drug test per facility policy

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices
• Proficient in sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Familiarity with total joint replacement and spine surgery procedures
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
