Location: Las Cruces, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem schedule (days vary), 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM day shift

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents at Casa De Oro Center
Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
Perform thorough patient assessments and report changes promptly
Document care accurately in the patient record and communicate with the care team
Assist with activities of daily living while promoting resident dignity and independence
Support care planning and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve outcomes

Qualifications

Active LPN license (Licensed Practical Nurse) — ability to practice in New Mexico preferred
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or willingness to obtain
Comfortable working in long-term care/skilled nursing environments (per diem experience a plus)
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a collaborative team
Reliable, professional, and patient-centered approach to care

Education

Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN/LVN certificate or diploma)
High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

Medication administration and documentation best practices
Basic wound care and dressing changes
Vital signs, patient assessment and reporting
Familiarity with electronic health records and clinical charting
Infection control, safety protocols, and resident rights
