Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to geriatric residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure resident safety and comfort
• Monitor and report changes in residents' health and behavior to the nursing team
• Support residents during meals and document food and fluid intake
• Maintain a clean, safe, and dignified environment for every resident
• Collaborate with nurses and other caregivers to deliver personalized care plans

Qualifications

• Current Maryland Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification
• Compassionate, patient, and attentive to residents' needs
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts, including mornings
• Must meet facility vaccination requirements or have an approved exemption
• Prior experience in long-term care or geriatrics is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of resident care techniques and safety protocols
• Strong communication skills to interact with residents, families, and staff
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced care environment
• Empathy and emotional resilience when caring for elderly residents
• Basic documentation and observation skills
