Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to elderly residents, assisting with daily activities like bathing, dressing, and eating
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team
• Help residents with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families
• Support a positive, respectful, and safe environment for all

Qualifications

• Active GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification in Maryland
• Current BLS/CPR certification (preferred)
• Compassion and patience when working with elderly patients
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of resident care procedures and safety protocols
• Skill in using medical equipment such as blood pressure cuffs and thermometers
• Strong observation and documentation abilities
• Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality
• Ability to adapt quickly to new environments
