Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxis to keep smiles healthy
- Take and develop dental x-rays to aid in diagnosis
- Assess patients' oral health and communicate findings with the dentist
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care techniques
- Apply fluoride treatments and sealants for cavity protection
- Maintain accurate patient records and follow strict infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in Pennsylvania
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education
- Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
- Proficient in taking dental radiographs
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Great attention to detail
- Time management and organizational skills
