Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive dental hygiene care to patients of all ages
• Perform dental cleanings, periodontal scaling, and root planing
• Take and process dental X-rays as ordered
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Assist the dentist during procedures and ensure efficient patient flow
• Document patient care accurately and maintain strict infection control standards

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Proven experience as a dental hygienist
• Strong interpersonal skills and a caring chairside manner
• Ability to cover a one-day assignment with flexibility

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental radiography and imaging
• Solid understanding of periodontal care and preventive therapies
• Comfort with dental practice management software
• Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
