Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist dental hygienists with clinical procedures, ensuring all instruments are prepared and within reach
• Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms and equipment to maintain the highest standards of infection control
• Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable and informed before, during, and after their care
• Capture and update patient records, including dental histories and treatment notes
• Coordinate patient flow to keep the practice running smoothly and appointments on time
• Support the care team with outstanding communication and professionalism

Qualifications

• A valid Dental Assistant certification or license in Maryland (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous experience in a dental office or clinical setting is a big plus
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
• Excellent chairside manner and a genuine passion for patient care
• Ability to work Friday, 11:45 AM - 9:00 PM
• CPR/BLS certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterile techniques
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with dental practice management software
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail in documentation and patient records
