Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, collaborating with the care team to adjust treatment plans
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced interventions with precision and care
• Educate and support patients and their families during challenging times
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety standards
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and changes in patient status

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia or a compact state (NLC)
• Current BLS certification (AHA or equivalent)
• ACLS certification required for ICU
• Previous ICU or critical care experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in critical care nursing practices and protocols
• Proficiency with ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and other ICU equipment
• Strong assessment, documentation, and multitasking abilities
• Compassionate patient advocacy and family communication
• Teamwork and collaboration in a multidisciplinary care environment
• Adaptability to quickly changing patient conditions
