Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced behavioral health environment
• Provide compassionate documentation and care for patients with psych diagnoses
• Engage in frequent meaningful interactions with behavioral health patients
• Assist in maintaining excellent 4:1 staff-to-patient ratios
• Support smooth unit operations including floating to Emergency Dept when needed

Qualifications

• Current California Psychiatric Technician (LPT) license required
• BLS certification
• 2 years of experience
• Psych experience in a fast-paced unit
• 2 supervisory references: 1 within 12 months and 1 within 3 years

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong psych experience handling medically stable patients with psych diagnoses
• Proficiency in vital signs monitoring and documentation
• Comfortable with frequent patient interactions
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system
• Adaptability in acute care behavioral health settings
