Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert care to critically ill neonates in a Level III NICU
• Assess, monitor, and document patient vitals and responses to treatment
• Administer medications, IVs, and specialized neonatal therapies
• Collaborate with neonatologists, nurse practitioners, and the care team to create individualized care plans
• Support and educate families during one of the most vulnerable times in their lives
• Float to the Nursery as needed to support healthy newborn care

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license (TX or compact state)
• 1+ years of Level III NICU nursing experience
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• Experience with neonatal ventilators, CPAP, and high-acuity monitoring
• Ability to float to Nursery and adapt quickly
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills in high-pressure situations
• Proficient in neonatal resuscitation and emergency response
• Excellent communication with families, physicians, and team members
• Comfortable with electronic health records (EHR) and charting
• A heart for caring for our tiniest patients
