Surgical Tech
Location: Redding, California

Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM with options for 10-hour and 12-hour shifts; mid shifts starting at 9:00 AM or 10:45 AM
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and ensure all surgical instruments and supplies are ready for each procedure
- Assist surgeons during a wide range of cases including total joints, general, vascular, spine, CVOR, neuro, ENT, and trauma
- Maintain sterile technique and support the surgical team to deliver safe, high-quality patient outcomes
- Collaborate with the OR team and report to the Clinical Supervisor while contributing to smooth daily operations
- Respond to on-call needs, providing essential coverage for weeknights and occasional weekends
Qualifications
- Current Surgical Tech certification or license as required by California
- Strong hands-on experience with total joints, general, vascular, and spine procedures
- Proficiency with Cerner Surginet EMR and Phillips Telemetry systems
- Ability to work 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts and participate in call rotation
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining sterile fields
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in preparing for and assisting with CVOR procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, pacers, and lead extractions
- Solid understanding of orthopedic, neuro/spine, ENT, and trauma surgical cases
- Comfort working with ventilators and advanced OR equipment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills within a fast-paced surgical environment
