Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to patients with both medical and behavioral health needs
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to telemetry alerts with confidence
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and security teams to ensure patient safety
- Administer medications and perform central line dressing changes while maintaining sterile technique
- Support patients with dementia and low cognitive ability through gentle, patient-centered care
- Float to ED psych holds or MedSurg floors as needed to support the broader care team
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma experience in a 600+ bed facility
- Strong MedSurg/Telemetry skills with a genuine interest in behavioral health patients
- Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam (two attempts allowed)
- Must successfully complete SIMs Lab skills assessment on day one of orientation

- Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition
- Cerner electronic medical record system
- Sterile field maintenance for Foley catheter insertion and central line care
- Behavioral health awareness and de-escalation techniques
- Video monitoring and safety protocols
