Roles & Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and direct surgical services operations
• Evaluate patient care delivery and promote safety and well-being
• Manage department staff, including nurses and anesthesia staff
• Develop and implement policies and procedures
• Maintain interdepartmental and intradepartmental communication

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in operating room and surgical services management
• BSN, MSN, or Master's degree in healthcare or business administration preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing in Alaska
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications

Education

• Completed program of education in nursing from an NLN-approved institution
• BSN, MSN, or Master's degree in healthcare or business administration preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Leadership and management skills
• Patient care and safety expertise
• Communication and teamwork abilities
• Budgeting and fiscal management knowledge
• Electronic Health Records (EHRs) experience
