Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient operations
Monitor patient vitals and recovery before, during, and after surgery
Maintain a sterile field and adhere to strict infection control protocols
Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions
Document patient care accurately and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards

Qualifications

Active RN license in California (or compact license accepted)
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
DCI/BVP certification required
Previous experience in surgical nursing preferred but not required – we welcome passionate candidates
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile technique, and OR protocols
Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations
Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
Strong communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues
