Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Day shift (12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), schedule varies per diem needs

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver safe, compassionate patient care in the Med/Surg and Telemetry units
Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team
Educate patients and families on treatment plans
Float to other units as needed within competency

Qualifications

Current and valid California RN license
BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or Red Cross)
Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience
Telemetry and Med/Surg experience preferred
Ability to float to units of competency

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Experience with Meditech EMR
Knowledge of NIHSS and DCI/BVP protocols
