Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate patient care in the Med/Surg and Telemetry units
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans
• Float to other units as needed within competency

Qualifications

• Current and valid California RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or Red Cross)
• Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience
• Telemetry and Med/Surg experience preferred
• Ability to float to units of competency

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Experience with Meditech EMR
• Knowledge of NIHSS and DCI/BVP protocols
