Shift Type: Block scheduling with every other weekend, 1 summer and 1 winter holiday required, standby call required

Roles & Responsibilities
- Attend deliveries as the baby nurse providing expert newborn care
- Start and maintain IVs while monitoring newborns requiring specialized attention
- Transfer patients to higher levels of care when needed with seamless coordination
- Provide phototherapy, respiratory support, and monitoring for newborns with conditions like hypoglycemia and sepsis
- Flex between Special Care Nursery and postpartum assignments to support the entire LDRP unit
- Assist with Bubble CPAP, HiFlow, and umbilical line placement to ensure optimal newborn outcomes
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Washington
- NRP and BLS certifications required
- Experience attending deliveries as the baby nurse strongly preferred
- Skilled in IV start and maintenance plus transfer protocols
- Familiarity with Bubble CPAP, HiFlow, and umbilical line placement assist
Knowledge & Skills
- Level 2 NICU and postpartum experience preferred
- Comfortable with titrating drips including D5W and TPN
- Strong assessment skills for newborns with respiratory distress, hypoglycemia, and NOW
- Ability to flex between SCN and postpartum couplet care
- Team player ready to support a close-knit LDRP department
