Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, 4-hour shifts; days vary, exact start/end times to be scheduled with facility

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate pre-operative nursing care to pediatric patients
Perform focused assessments and document vital signs and findings
Prepare patients and families with clear, calm pre-op education
Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure safe patient flow
Follow pre-op protocols and maintain strict infection control practices
Participate in orientation and competency-building activities as required

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington or compact license as applicable
Experience or interest in pediatrics and pre-operative nursing
Current BLS/CPR certification required; PALS preferred or available
Ability to work per diem with flexible availability
Up-to-date immunizations and ability to complete required facility onboarding

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong pediatric assessment and communication skills
Familiarity with pre-operative screening and documentation
Comfort working with children and supporting families in stressful moments
Basic proficiency with electronic medical record systems
Team-oriented mindset and strong attention to safety and detail
