Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population with complex medical conditions including sepsis, STEMI, CHF, stroke, and respiratory failure
• Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms to ensure early detection of changes
• Titrate intravenous drips such as Heparin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, and Insulin
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including CNAs, charge nurses, and virtual nursing support
• Manage busy patient flow with admissions, discharges, and transfers while maintaining high-quality care
• Deliver patient education and engage in bedside report and hourly rounding for a positive patient experience

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Nebraska or compact state)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Stepdown/PCU nursing experience
• Driver's license required at submittal
• EPIC charting experience strongly preferred

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing accepted
• BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills
• Proficiency in titrating multiple intravenous medications
• Comfort with EPIC electronic health record system
• Ability to float to MedSurg, Inpatient Rehab, or Skilled Care as needed
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to patient-centered care and hourly rounding
