Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert care to mothers and babies during labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Monitor fetal heart tracings using Obix fetal monitoring and respond quickly to any concerns
• Assist during C-sections with scrub, recovery, and circulation duties
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of nurses, scrub techs, and perinatology support
• Support high-risk antepartum patients and help deliver down to 23 weeks
• Educate new parents on newborn care and postpartum recovery

Qualifications

• 2+ years of prior Labor & Delivery experience required (travel experience a plus)
• Active CA RN license required
• BLS, NRP, ACLS, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications
• C-section scrub, recovery, and circulate experience required
• Comfortable with Cerner EMR and Obix fetal monitoring

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in Labor & Delivery nursing, including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care
• Strong fetal monitoring interpretation skills (Obix system)
• Ability to respond quickly and confidently in high-acuity situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of mother-baby couplet care and high-risk pregnancy management
