Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adult oncology and trauma PCU patients
• Monitor and titrate drips such as insulin, Cardizem, and heparin with confidence
• Administer chemotherapy and manage complex medication regimens
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nursing assistants, charge nurses, PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
• Perform hourly rounding and bedside shift reports to enhance patient experience and safety
• Float to other Med/Surg and PCU units as needed while maintaining the same level of care
• Embrace a team culture that values genuine caring, positive attitudes, and respect for a diverse patient population

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PCU/Med-Surg nursing experience required
• Active BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Chemo certification (ONS/ONCC) preferred, not required
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Driver's license required for submission and verification of distance from facility

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable managing insulin and Cardizem drips
• Familiarity with chemotherapy and high-flow oxygen
• Proficiency with Alaris IV pumps
• Knowledge of PCU and oncology patient care
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to float to Med/Surg and PCU units as assigned
