Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to patients on the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit
• Monitor patient vital signs, telemetry readings, and report any changes to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to physician orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records and documentation

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Current BLS certification (AHA required)
• Previous med-surg/telemetry experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of med-surg and telemetry nursing principles
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation
• Competent in IV insertion, medication administration, and patient monitoring
• Patient-centered communication and empathetic bedside manner
