Geriatric Nursing Assistant
Location: Brooklyn Park, Maryland
Start Date: 08-07-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Night shift, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, per diem as needed
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily assistance to geriatric residents with activities of daily living
- Support residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure their safety
- Assist with meals, feeding, and hydration while monitoring dietary needs
- Observe and report changes in residents' physical and emotional condition to nursing staff
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment for residents
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver personalized, dignified care
Qualifications
- Valid Maryland GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or provide a documented religious/medical exemption
- Must possess a state or federally issued photo ID and be able to wear a photo badge at all times
- Compassionate, reliable, and committed to quality elder care
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of geriatric care practices and patient safety protocols
- Strong observation and reporting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical capability to assist with lifting and transferring residents
