Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert circulating and teching support for advanced GI procedures, including ERCP, EUS, EMR/ESD, Enteroscopy, and Endolumenal Surgery.
• Manage specialized endoscopic equipment such as imaging catheters, sphincterotomy wires, stents, ultrasound processors, and Fine Needle Aspiration tools.
• Set up advanced electrocautery, injection needles, and snares for complex polyp removals and early-stage lesion resections.
• Perform high-level disinfection and reprocessing of complex endoscopes in accordance with SGNA and manufacturer standards.
• Assist with endoscopic suturing, stent deployment, and Endoflip device setup for structural GI conditions.
• Collaborate with the GI team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care during endoscopic procedures.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state (license to submit required).
• Minimum of 2 years of GI/Endoscopy nursing experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Strong circulating and teching skills for advanced procedures (EUS, ERCP, etc.).
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system.
• Must pass an open-book orientation exam with a 90% score (all resources provided).

• BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of GI/Endoscopy nursing practices and procedures.
• Expertise in endoscopic equipment management and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of high-level disinfection and SGNA standards.
• Clinical skills in ERCP, EUS, EMR/ESD, Enteroscopy, and Endolumenal surgery.
• Ability to independently circulate and tech advanced GI procedures.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills for a collaborative procedural environment.
