Location: Bakersfield, California

Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM start with variable end times, block scheduling arranged with manager, includes call rotation
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $98 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons as the first assistant during a wide variety of procedures
- Provide expert support across ortho, robotics, neuro, GYN, urology, vascular, and general surgery cases
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth case flow and patient safety
- Float between campuses as needed to support the OR team
- Respond to call within 30 minutes when scheduled
- Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California
- RNFA certification required
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong experience in ortho, robotics, neuro, and GYN specialties
- Comfortable scrubbing and assisting in the operating room
Knowledge & Skills
- Robotics experience is essential - DaVinci system proficiency
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical records
- Ability to handle a fast-paced OR with 15 cases daily across 5 suites
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to float between campuses and take call
