Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional dental hygiene care to patients, including prophylaxis and periodontal therapy
• Educate patients on oral health, preventive care, and proper hygiene techniques
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
• Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Collaborate with dentists to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Ensure a sterile and safe clinical environment following infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent interpersonal and patient communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple patients
• Comfort with dental software and digital radiography
• Flexibility to work per diem shifts as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures and best practices
• Knowledge of oral health assessment and patient education
• Skill in taking and interpreting dental X-rays
• Attention to detail in documentation and infection control
• Ability to use dental equipment and tools safely
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
