Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist oral surgeons during wisdom tooth extractions and other surgical procedures
• Monitor patients' vital signs including blood pressure and pulse oximetry
• Administer nitrous oxide and assist with IV sedation under supervision
• Capture panoramic X-rays to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning
• Ensure the surgical suite is prepared and sterile
• Provide compassionate patient care and comfort throughout procedures

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent training
• Experience with nitrous oxide and IV sedation
• Proficiency in taking panoramic radiographs
• Experience in oral surgery or dental surgery settings
• Strong patient care and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Vital signs monitoring (BP/PulseO2 Sats)
• Nitrous oxide and IV sedation administration
• Panoramic X-ray imaging
• Wisdom tooth surgery assistance
• Infection control and sterilization protocols
