Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments so every patient feels safe and cared for
• Assist the orthodontist during exams, adjustments, and appliance placement
• Take digital scans, impressions, and X-rays with a steady and confident hand
• Educate patients and parents on braces care, oral hygiene, and post-treatment best practices
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage supplies to keep the practice running smoothly
• Offer a warm, welcoming vibe that helps anxious patients relax in the chair

Qualifications

• Certified or registered dental assistant in Maryland or able to meet state requirements
• Previous orthodontic or pediatric dental experience is a plus
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Comfortable using dental software, Denticon experience is a bonus
• A keen eye for detail and a genuine passion for patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of dental instruments and orthodontic tools
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols
• Ability to take radiographs and digital impressions
• Great interpersonal skills to connect with patients of all ages
• Organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced office
