Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists during exams and procedures, helping young patients feel safe and comfortable
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments are sterilized and ready
• Take and develop dental x-rays as directed
• Provide chairside assistance and pass instruments efficiently
• Document patient care and maintain accurate dental records
• Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene in a friendly, approachable way

Qualifications

• Dental Assistant certification or state registration where applicable
• Experience in a dental office, especially with pediatric patients, is a plus
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• A caring, patient, and positive attitude with children
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and sterilization techniques
• Familiarity with dental software and patient record management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and infection control practices
• Ability to multitask and support a smooth patient flow
