Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide dental hygiene care including scaling, polishing, and patient education within efficient 30-minute appointment blocks
• Work alongside a dedicated dental assistant to ensure smooth patient flow and a positive experience
• Focus on preventive cleanings and periodontal maintenance without the need to take X-rays or perform exams
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all hygiene instruments and supplies are ready for each patient
• Document care and give personalized oral hygiene instructions to help patients maintain healthy smiles

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of New Jersey
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Prior clinical dental hygiene experience is preferred but not required
• Excellent communication skills and a caring chairside manner
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy dental environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures and instrumentation
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols
• Understanding of preventive oral care and patient education
• Strong time management to stay on schedule with half-hour appointments
• Teamwork and adaptability in a collaborative dental setting
