Patient Services Representative - Per Diem
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Start Date: 08-15-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per Diem PSR shift, 10.5 hours per shift (no scheduled break), flexible scheduling as needed
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $23 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients and families with warmth and professionalism
- Collect and verify patient demographics, insurance, and consent forms
- Schedule appointments and manage patient registration efficiently
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct messages appropriately
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and minimize wait times
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and uphold strict patient confidentiality
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in healthcare reception, registration, or customer service preferred
- Comfortable using computers and electronic medical record systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible per diem shifts, including some early or extended hours
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus
- Skilled at multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Proficient with data entry and maintaining accurate records
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to stay calm, professional, and empathetic under pressure
