Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during patient appointments, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms for each procedure
• Take dental x-rays, impressions, and photographs as directed
• Document patient care accurately and maintain up-to-date records in the practice management system
• Educate patients on orthodontic aftercare, oral hygiene, and treatment plans
• Support the dental team with chairside assistance and efficient patient flow

Qualifications

• Active Orthodontic Certification (required)
• Experience working as a dental assistant, ideally in orthodontics
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first mindset
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment
• Compliance with dental infection control and safety standards

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in taking dental radiographs and impressions
• Familiarity with orthodontic instruments, braces, and aligners
• Knowledge of dental practice management software (e.g., Denticon)
• Understanding of sterilization and infection control protocols
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
