Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate dental hygiene care during patient appointments, helping every patient leave with a healthy smile
• Perform thorough teeth cleanings and periodontal therapy while following all safety and infection control protocols
• Support the dentist by preparing patients and treatment areas for a smooth, efficient visit
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care best practices
• Collaborate with your dedicated dental assistant to maximize patient comfort and appointment flow
• Document patient care accurately in the practice's charting system

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in New Jersey
• Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred)
• Experience in a dental office is a plus, but new graduates are welcome to apply
• Skill in using dental instruments and maintaining a sterile environment
• Excellent patient communication and a friendly chairside manner

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental anatomy, periodontal disease, and preventive oral care
• Proficient in dental hygiene instrumentation and ultrasonic scaling
• Understanding of infection control and OSHA standards
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to put patients at ease
• Basic computer skills for patient charting and documentation
