Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during patient exams and procedures to ensure smooth, efficient visits
- Prepare patients for treatment by taking X-rays, impressions, and photos
- Sterilize and organize instruments and treatment rooms to maintain a safe environment
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care to promote healthy smiles
- Manage patient records and appointment scheduling using Denticon software
- Support the clinical team in delivering exceptional orthodontic care
Qualifications
- Certified or registered dental assistant with experience in orthodontics
- Radiography (X-ray) certification preferred
- Proficiency with Denticon or similar dental practice management software
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
Knowledge & Skills
- Orthodontic assisting techniques and procedures
- Dental terminology and instrument sterilization protocols
- Patient record management and scheduling
- Computer proficiency and ability to learn new software quickly
