Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow
• Prepare patients for treatment by reviewing their dental history and making them feel comfortable
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed
• Sterilize and organize dental instruments and equipment
• Provide patients with post-operative instructions and oral hygiene education
• Manage and update patient records, including treatment plans

Qualifications

• Must have a current Dental Assistant certification or be willing to obtain one
• Previous experience in orthodontics is highly preferred
• Radiology (X-ray) certification required
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and the dental team

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
• Familiarity with dental software (e.g., Denticon) is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
