Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver gentle, thorough dental cleanings and periodontal care
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques to inspire healthy habits
• Partner with our dental team to create a calm, positive patient experience
• Maintain meticulous records and imaging to support accurate diagnoses
• Prep and sterilize instruments to uphold the highest safety standards
• Provide seamless coverage during FMLA/LOA, keeping the office running smoothly

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license (or ability to obtain before start)
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Warm, empathetic chairside manner
• Reliable and flexible, ready to jump in on a short-term assignment

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of dental anatomy and hygiene techniques
• Skilled in taking digital X-rays and using dental charting software
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols
• Excellent verbal communication and patient education skills
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits
