Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform routine dental cleanings and periodontal scaling for patients in 30-minute appointment slots
• Provide personalized oral hygiene education and preventive care guidance
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment
• Collaborate with the dentist and dental assistant to ensure a smooth patient flow
• Document patient care accurately while respecting the 30-minute visit structure
• Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of New Jersey
• Graduate from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Ability to work efficiently within 30-minute patient appointment slots
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Experience not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of dental prophylaxis, scaling, and polishing techniques
• Familiarity with dental instruments, sterilization, and infection control
• Ability to educate and motivate patients on oral health
• Time management skills to handle back-to-back 30-minute appointments
• Team collaboration and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills for patient records and documentation
