Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to promote optimal oral health
• Assess patients' oral health and report findings to the supervising dentist
• Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, and preventive care techniques
• Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure sterilization of equipment
• Provide a comfortable and positive experience for every patient

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR certification
• Previous clinical experience as a Dental Hygienist is a plus
• Strong patient care skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to work afternoons and evenings as scheduled

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, instruments, and sterilization standards
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Comfort with digital X-rays and dental practice software
• Ability to work independently and within a team
