Roles & Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for orthodontic treatment, making every visit a positive experience
• Assist the orthodontist during procedures, passing instruments and ensuring a smooth workflow
• Take and process dental X-rays and intraoral photos to support accurate treatment plans
• Educate patients and families on orthodontic care, including braces and aligner maintenance
• Sterilize and organize dental instruments and treatment rooms to maintain a safe environment
• Document patient treatment and update records with precise and timely notes

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent state certification
• Current X-ray certification and experience with dental radiographs
• Prior experience in orthodontic dental assisting is a plus
• A warm, professional demeanor and strong communication skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a busy practice
• Current CPR/BLS certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, brackets, wires, and aligners
• Familiarity with dental software and patient records management
• Excellent interpersonal skills to connect with patients of all ages
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
• Understanding of sterilization and infection control protocols
