Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding preventive dental care, including cleanings, scaling, and root planing, to keep patients smiling brightly
• Educate patients on personalized oral hygiene techniques and preventive care practices they can use at home
• Take and develop dental x-rays with precision and care, ensuring patient comfort and safety every step of the way
• Assess patients' oral health and collaborate with the dentist to create tailored treatment plans that meet each individual's needs
• Maintain a spotless, sterilized, and welcoming clinical environment to promote patient confidence and safety
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently, ensuring seamless continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia, in good standing
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Proven experience in clinical dental hygiene, with a gentle and caring chair-side manner
• Excellent communication skills to connect with patients and team members
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced dental office

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of dental anatomy, periodontics, and preventive techniques
• Proficiency in taking high-quality dental radiographs
• Experience with dental practice management software for accurate patient records
• Knowledge of OSHA and infection control standards
• Skilled in educating patients of all ages on oral health best practices
