Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist with orthodontic procedures and patient care
• Prepare instruments and materials for each appointment
• Maintain accurate patient records and charting
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control and sterilization protocols
• Support the orthodontist during treatments and consultations
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and ready for the next patient

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and organizational ability
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced orthodontic setting
• Valid Maryland dental assistant license (if required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Orthodontic terminology and procedures
• Infection control and sterilization protocols
• Patient care and comfort techniques
• Electronic health record (EHR) usage
• Instrument handling and maintenance
