Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on orthopedic therapy focusing on shoulder repairs, wrist and elbow conditions
- Evaluate and treat patients recovering from CVA, MS, and head injuries across multiple care settings
- Provide expert upper extremity rehabilitation in outpatient, acute inpatient, and rehab environments
- Document patient progress using ReDoc and Meditech systems to ensure seamless care coordination
- Collaborate with rehab aides and the interdisciplinary team to maximize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Occupational Therapy license required
- BLS certification
- Strong background in outpatient orthopedic therapy, especially upper extremity cases
- Experience treating shoulder repairs, wrist and elbow tendonitis, and fractures
Knowledge & Skills
- Orthopedic rehabilitation techniques for upper extremities
- Lymphedema management (preferred)
- Patient assessment and individualized treatment planning
- Documentation in electronic medical records
- Multidisciplinary collaboration and communication
